Episode One: Appetizers
You’ve got company coming over and want t serve something tasty, but healthy. Recipe Re-do takes your favorite appetizers – keeping the flavor while adding nutritional value. In the Kids Korner the hosts make a Nacho Sailboat.

Episode Two: Sweet Treats
You’ll want a glass of milk to go along with all of the delicious cookie recipes in Recipe Re-do’s salute to Sweet Treats. The chocolate chip cookies offer half the fat and sugar of traditional chocolate chip cookies, plus the Kids Korner features Yogurt Yummies.

Episode Three: Brunch
Brunch just got healthier with a Sweet Potato Breakfast Casserole and the Kids Korner makes an Agave Bear French Toast for the little ones in your life.

Episode Four: Quick Fix Meals
Recipe Re-do takes your favorite fast foods and lowers the fat and calories and add nutrients. In the Kids Korner hosts Cathy Norgard and Stacy Mitchell make a Potato Race Car.

Episode Five: Pizza
Whether you love thin or thick crust pizza, Recipe Re-do makes healthier topping choices, plus the Kids Korner features pizza wraps for kids.

Episode Six: Pasta
Comfort foods like a pasta can be packed with calories and salt. Recipe Re-do keeps the flavor and comfort of a pasta dinner, but adds a healthy twist. A Waffle Fruit Bowl is featured in the Kids Korner.

 

Meet the Recipe Re-do Hosts:
Cathy Norgard is the Club Room Manager and has been with Hy-Vee for over fifteen years. She is a “food enthusiast” who grew up learning from the women in her family how to prepare great dishes. Cathy enjoys teaching others about food and learning new and different techniques from her students, as well.

Stacy Mitchell, R.D., L.D. is a registered and licensed dietitian through the American Dietetic Association. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics and internship from Iowa State University. She has been with Hy-Vee since 2003 as a registered dietitian. She has also worked in long-term care centers as a clinical dietitian. Stacy is certified in Adult Weight Management by the American Dietetic Association Commission on Dietetic Registration. Stacy is very passionate about helping others find realistic quick, simple and healthy eating tips for everyday life. She reaches out to the community through regular appearances on Good Morning Quad Cities and Paula Sands Live and writes articles for a variety of local publications.
